Sentences to avoid
- An opener that names the brand before it names the reader problem.
- A feature list with no effect the reader can feel.
- Two actions in one post, such as "save and share and order".
- Adjectives with no number, such as "outstanding results".
Questions and answers
Do long captions lower reach? Caption length is not a ranking signal. What lowers results is a first line that gives no reason to keep reading.
Do emoji help? Emoji help separate blocks of text. They do not replace a sentence that explains.
How do I write an action that does not push? Name the step and the result, such as "Send a message with your room size and we will reply with a cost estimate".
