Web Application Development: 3 app layers, user roles, tests, documentation, and a code handover

// problems we solve

Problems we often find.

Order data, stock counts, and schedules sit scattered across 5 spreadsheets and 3 chat groups.

We build 1 application with 1 database, 1 workflow, and a dashboard that reads the same data.

Every staff member shares 1 login, so nobody can tell who changed what.

The application uses roles and per-user access, with a change log for every important record.

Your previous vendor left, and nobody on your team can run the system.

Handover follows our standard: your team can run, deploy, roll back, and restore it without us.

You are not sure whether you need a custom application or an existing module.

Week 1 decides between building or using an OS module, before you spend a large budget.

Week 1

Discovery and scope

We map the workflow for each step, the users, the access rights, and sample data, then we write the acceptance criteria.

Output: A scope document and acceptance criteria that you approve.
Week 2

Architecture and wireframes

We design the database schema, the roles, the API, and wireframes for the main screens.

Output: A data schema and wireframes that you approve.
Week 3–5

Build the core features

We build the core features in weekly sprints and show a demo on a test address every week.

Output: A weekly demo on a test address.
Week 6–7

Integration and tests

We connect the API and webhooks, run tests, and check access rights and configuration.

Output: A test report and a security checklist.
Week 8

Documentation and handover

We hand over the repository, a guide to run, deploy, roll back, and restore it, then we train your admin.

Output: A repository, documentation, and a 90-minute handover session.

Included, excluded, and billed apart
IncludedNot includedBilled apart
  • Architecture, database, and data schema
  • A responsive interface for the agreed main screens
  • Dashboard, roles, access rights, and workflow
  • API, webhooks, and tests
  • Documentation and a 90-minute handover session
  • Features outside the approved scope of work
  • A native mobile application
  • Bulk data migration from an old system, beyond the agreed sample data
  • Care after launch (runs on OS Care Retainer)
  • Server, domain, and third-party subscriptions
  • Vendor API licences

Ground rules

  • Revision: 1 revision round per sprint on the demoed feature. A request outside scope becomes a separate offer, never silent extra work.
  • Schedule: the 6–8 weeks start once you approve the scope. An answer delayed more than 3 working days shifts the schedule. Cancellation after week 1 bills the finished phase.
  • Ownership: the code, the database, and the data are yours after full payment. The repository moves to your account at handover.
  • Warranty limit: the application passes the acceptance criteria and the test report. Bug fixes inside the agreed scope run for 30 days after launch, with no new features.

What we guarantee

  • We answer your message within 24 hours on a working day.
  • Accounts, code, and data stay in your name from day 1.
  • Every handover includes a test report or written notes.
  • No renewal fee to Rama Digital. You pay domain, hosting, and third-party subscriptions to the vendor directly.
  • A fixed price on this page is the price we invoice. A "From" price becomes fixed in the written quotation you approve.

// is this for you

Good fit for

  • Your work still runs across many spreadsheet files.
  • You need an application that follows your own way of working.
  • You have 1 person who answers questions during the build.

Not a fit for

  • Your need matches a CRM. Choose OS Module: CRM.
  • You only need a sales page. Choose Landing Page Service.

What you prepare

  • A picture of the work, step by step.
  • A list of users and their access rights.
  • Examples of the data you use today.

What the price excludes

  • Server, domain, and third-party subscription fees.
  • Features outside the agreed scope of work.

How it differs: OS Module: CRM uses an existing module, while Web Application Development builds an application for your own way of working.

FAQ

What is Web Application Development and what does it cost?

Web Application Development builds a custom web application for your business workflow, not a ready-made module. The scope covers architecture, database, interface, dashboard, roles, API, and tests. We hand over a live application, a repository, and documentation in 6–8 weeks. Price starts at IDR 25M, with a final price after we review your scope.

When should I choose an OS module instead of a custom app?

Choose an OS module when your need matches an existing one, for example OS Module: CRM for pipeline, follow-up, invoicing, and quotation. A ready module costs less and starts sooner. Choose Web Application Development when your workflow is unique, with rules and steps that no standard module follows. Week 1 settles this choice before you spend a large budget.

How is this different from Vibe Code Rescue?

Web Application Development builds a new application from discovery to handover, over 6–8 weeks. Vibe Code Rescue checks an application that already exists. The forensic audit costs IDR 7.5M and runs 1–2 weeks, then recommends a rescue or a rebuild. Choose this service when you have no application yet. Choose Vibe Code Rescue when an application runs today and needs a security and stability check.

Why does the build take 6–8 weeks?

The 6–8 weeks cover 5 phases: discovery and scope, architecture and wireframes, core feature build, integration and tests, then documentation and handover. Each phase ends with a demo or a document you check and approve before the next phase starts. This schedule protects code quality, security, and access rules, not only a screen that looks finished.

What raises the price above IDR 25M?

IDR 25M is the starting price for the base scope you approve in Week 1. Price rises when you add user roles, add third-party API integrations, or add workflows and screens beyond the first scope. Every extra request becomes a separate offer in writing, never work done without your approval. The final price stands in writing after we review your scope.

Who owns the code and data after the project ends?

The code, the database, and the data you generate become yours after full payment. We move the repository to your account at handover, together with documentation on how to run, deploy, roll back, and restore the application. Your team does not depend on us to keep it running. This handover standard follows the same checklist we publish and use ourselves.

Does the price include the server and the domain?

No. The server, the domain, and third-party subscriptions stay separate from the IDR 25M price. Vendor API licences also stay separate, at the rate that vendor sets. The scope of work states every server and licence need in writing, so you can compare hosting offers before you pick a provider.

What happens when the requirements change midway?

A small change to a feature already shown in a demo fits inside the 1 revision round per sprint. A larger change, such as a feature outside the approved scope, becomes a separate offer with its own price and schedule. You decide whether that change runs now or moves to a list for after launch. This keeps the 6–8 week schedule realistic.

Who takes care of the application after launch?

Routine care runs outside Web Application Development, through OS Care Retainer. Bug fixes inside the agreed scope run free for 30 days after launch, with no new features, as part of this service. After 30 days, monitoring, updates, and small changes run on a monthly retainer, with a team that already knows your application from the build.

I am not sure about our workflow. Where do we start?

Start by sending us a picture of your current workflow, even a simple note or a spreadsheet. Add a list of users and the access rights you want for each one. We reply with discovery questions and a scope estimate within 24 working hours, with no commitment. Week 1 then decides between a custom application and an OS module.
